Commissions: Tips/Tricks/Advice
Commission Me! | FAQ | Patreon

Hey guys ^^ I think one of the most common things I see in the art community are people asking advice about commissions. How much to price their work, how to start, how to market themselves, etc. While I might not be the most seasoned of freelancers, I have certainly learned quite a bit through my own experiences and others. Hopefully what I share can be helpful to you as well And if you have any additional advice to share, please comment below, I'm sure someone may find it useful

How do I know if I'm ready to start commissions? / I don't feel like my art is worth offering commissions for.

Introducing Commissions on deviantART
1. List Commission availability on your profile
The Commissions Widget showcases your offerings, showing potential clients that you are accepting requests.
2. Client request Commissions
Commission requests are sent to the artist's Message Center, allowing them to accept or reject the request.
3. You receive payment, you deliver artwork
Artists can track their Commission transactions and generate real profit through My Earnings, garnering 80% royalty on each transaction. Earnings can then be withdrawn as a check, via PayPal, or converted to deviantART Points.

Hey guys!
I know that now a lot of people take this negatively. But lately, I'm a little disappointed by stuff that appears on dA page.
It's like half of works are like a porn ... And I don't talk about nudes - I know what a good nude is.
But most of these uploads are just hard to watch ...
Maybe I must turn mature content on or something. But if I do - I will miss some great stuff from amazing nude photographers.
Nevermind :D Just feel like to write it down.
Probably I'm old fashioned :D
